Principal-Led. Senior-Only.
No Handoffs.
Every engagement is led directly by the firm's founder. No junior associates. No layers. No handoffs.
The Firm
GrayBeck works in the gap between business-critical spreadsheets and enterprise-grade systems. Our clients are sophisticated organizations — institutional lenders, asset managers, and mid-market enterprises — running multi-billion-dollar operations on tooling that hasn't kept pace with their growth.
We don't sell software licenses or implement off-the-shelf platforms. We reverse-engineer the business logic your team has built over years in Excel and VBA, then rebuild it in scalable, auditable infrastructure: SQL databases, automated pipelines, and modern reporting tools. The result is a system your entire team can trust — not just the two people who understand the spreadsheet.
The Founder
Jake McFadden
Founder & Managing Partner
Jake McFadden founded GrayBeck to solve a problem he saw repeatedly across institutional finance: sophisticated organizations running critical operations on fragile, undocumented spreadsheet infrastructure that only one or two people understood.
Before GrayBeck, Jake built his career at the intersection of structured finance and technology — developing pricing models, loan-level data systems, and portfolio analytics for institutional lenders and asset managers. Jake holds a degree in Economics and Finance from Princeton University.
Jake is based in Dallas, Texas and works directly with clients nationwide.
